Biography

I have worked in the field of practice development for over 20 years and have had the opportunity to be involved in the development of a wide range of new roles. I started my academic career with the University of Sheffield where I completed my first degree in 1996 and went onto complete a PhD with Sheffield Hallam University in 2011 where I undertook a longitudinal ethnographic study into the implementation and development of the Nurse Consultant role. I have continued my interest in research and new roles, most recently working in collaboration with Dr. Bill Whitehead at the University of Derby in relation to Preceptorship and I am currently involved in the national Nursing Associate role development
