I have worked as an Occupational Therapist (OT) across various Acute and Community Health
(NHS), and also Social Care settings since graduating from the University of Derby in 1995. Since
2006 I have worked for Derbyshire Community Health Services (NHS Trust) as a Community OT
and Specialist Stroke OT . From 2010-2013 I was seconded (part time) to the University of
Nottingham (UoN) as part of a Collaboration for Leadership in Health Research and Care
(CLAHRC) funded Stroke Research project, exploring the use of Virtual Reality as an intervention
for Upper Limb Rehabilitation with Stroke Survivors (Wii Star). In 2017, I graduated from UoN
with an Mphil. I also hold the position of Research Champion for DCHS North Place.
