Mr Bommireddy trained in orthopaedics and Neurosurgery in India before coming over to the UK for further training. He completed an Orthopaedic training programme in London Deanery based at King’s College Hospital and Guys Hospital. He did Spinal Surgery training at Nottingham, Liverpool and Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, London. He was appointed as a Spinal Surgery Consultant at Royal Derby Hospital in May 2006. He has special interest in Spinal Microscopic Surgery and Minimally invasive Spinal Surgery. He treats all spinal pathologies including spinal trauma, cancer and degenerative pathology, excluding pediatric scoliosis. He is the lead clinician for Spinal cancer at University Hospital of Derby & Burton NHS Foundation Trust. He is actively involved in teaching and research activity. He has published over 30 articles in various peer reviewed journals.
