Biography

Mr Ashwood has an interest in upper limb especially shoulder, elbow and wrist

Previously worked at UCL as a consultant and in Burton for the last 14 years. I now work in a vibrant unit with two other upper limb surgeons. I was fellowship trained in this area by Professor Greg Bain from Adelaide. I am a keen educationalist training junior doctors at all grades and have a Masters in Medical Education from Warwick. I publish regularly in worldwide literature with over 90 papers and almost a 150 presentations or posters in national and international meetings.

I am looking to undertake a PhD looking at orthopaedic trauma care in the hospital setting with Keele University.

I am an honorary senior lecture in Orthopaedics at Aston University teaching on the Masters programme at that institution.
